The Secret Of Want Want – Revelation

August 27, 2008 · Leave a Comment

On August 1, I post a short article about the unusual price movement of Want Want. The share price rose steadily throughout the day despite in a very bad Hong Kong market trading day.  It is now three weeks later today.  The price shoots up 7% because of a news stating that Want Want’s profit rises 54%.  The effect seem on the August 1 can be due to the below reasons :

1. The Taiwan Effect. Within the past three weeks, there are many stories about Taiwan e.g. The Taiwan government invites Taiwan company to list in TSE including Want Want, Taiwan business is expect to improve due to improve relationship with the mainland.

2. Insiders could have know about the improve in profit and started buying shares. Three weeks is about the correct timing that it takes for accountant to calculate the report and then announce it.

August 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The Dow Fell 205 points dragging down the Hang Seng Index. However Want Want steadly rises 5% today, totally unaffected by the market. I search but cannot find any related news. I am sure something is happening. There is a stream of steady buying pushing the price up constantly. I am sure next week we will find out what that news is. For now I can rest assure Want Want share price will rocket up in the coming weeks. It is likely to test the previous high at $3.60.

Start of the suckers rally

July 30, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Commodities price falling from the parabolic rise. Dollar rising. The stock market is bouncing back. This is the suckers rally jim rogers was talking about.

In time the dollar will drop again from the rally. So will the dollar. So will the commodities but that might take a bit longer to regain momentum.

Testing Iphone 3G on my way to the office

July 14, 2008 · 1 Comment

Global Position Satellite

I go to work from Kennedy Town to Central on a bus. I was expecting the GPS system to indicate the direction to Central as the bus move like any car GPS system would do. This is not the case. The GPS does not keep tracking the location, you have to keep refreshing it. Once refresh, it is zoom out and you have to zoom in again. It does not have anything to show turn left, etc. It is simply a google map with a GPS locator that needs refreshing.

3G Reception

On my way to work, I couldn’t get 3G reception. But on my way back home in evening I have 3G for the entire journey. I don’t know what happen. Perhaps many people use the waveband in the morning.

The Standard

Normally I would pick up a freebie newspaper as I get off the bus. I thought I will read online on the bus. This can also save paper.

http://www.thestandard.com.hk/

However I like to read the pdf version from http://202.66.86.27/. But iphone can not read the pdf off the site for some reason.

To test if iphone can read pdf files I email one to myself via Yahoo mail. Iphone can read pdf, excel, etc via email but does not appear to be able to read off the web.
